It is very important to choose the right material when finishing the steam room. Bath lining – almost perfect option. Particularly good shelter boards from alder, linden, poplars are. They look aesthetically pleasing, excellent tolerate high temperatures, do not deform with high humidity. What else should be remembered, equipping the steam room?
1. The linden linden is excellent, its price is affordable, quality is on top. Golden boards look wonderful on the walls of the bath. Topol wood is paler, but also good.
2. The coniferous breeds, as a rule, refuse: the lining of pine is released when heated. But this material can be used in the finish of the steam room. Of course, it will not work for walls or seats, and for the ceiling it will be quite appropriate. There will be a delightful aroma in the steam room. It is important to use class “A” boards, since they remain clean when the temperature rises. There are no knots in them – “pockets” containing resins.
3. When installing the lining, the boards should be attached at a small distance from one another: the gap is necessary due to the fact that the wood expands in heat and high humidity.
4. When finishing the steam room, it is not recommended to use some materials, for example, fiberboard, chipboard, linoleum. They absorb moisture and quickly deteriorate (the process of decay begins). Often release toxic substances, heated. The lining (including block house), stones, tiles are considered safe. In no case should you cover the wood with varnish.
4. The insulation must be purchased non -combustible (basalt cotton wool). It is worth taking care.
5. There will be fewer drafts in the steam room if you make the floor in it 20 centimeters higher than in other rooms of the bath. It should be with a slight slope in the direction of drain.
