Before the start of the resort of finishing work, the surface should be carefully prepared and processed. The primer for surface processing is used in the following cases:- When you need to improve the adhesion of a smooth base with an adhesive or coloring composition. To ensure the maximum adhesion between finishing materials, adhesive primer for walls are used.- When there is a need to remove dust from the surface.- The primer can significantly strengthen the surface, increasing its service life. Primary processing is best performed by primer-grouping. They do a great job with strengthening the surface, and also align it.- If the work is carried out with porous surfaces, the preliminary application of the primer will significantly reduce the consumption of the material used for finishing.- The primer is also used to prevent the appearance of various spots, “craters” and cracks that may occur during painting or plaster. The primer compounds are simple in application, quickly dry out, differ among themselves by the type of surface. It can be concrete primers, compounds designed for metal application, as well as primers for processing wooden surfaces. If you plan to process surfaces in a room with a high level of humidity, it is worth using special compounds containing anti -flesed additives that serve to prevent the appearance of a fungus. Typically, on the primer packaging, the manufacturer indicates the area and conditions of its use. The primer also has its own subtypes depending on further finishing work: for painting, for tiles and under plaster. Primers are also divided by the type of special substance included in them: mineral, acrylic and alkyd.
