You can repair the roof of your garage yourself without any serious costs in the presence of the minimum volume of knowledge and skills, having only a small volume of materials.
Consumables and tools
Despite the fact that the repair of the soft roof of the garage is not so expensive on its own, to avoid a visit to a construction store, most likely you will not succeed. The main thing to purchase is the waterproofing material itself. The most common solution to this issue is roofing ground. Bitumen material on a cardboard basis costs inexpensively, glides well, keeps the water for a long time.
In order to stick rooferoids, it must be heated well. You can do this with a propane burner or a cheaper soldering lamp. Although the lamp can serve you with a “bear”, having required 4-5 times more time to warm up the roofing material, since its flame is much weaker than that more expensive professional propane burner.
