When choosing an apartment, people take into account dozens of factors. Some want to save money and buy housing at an early stage of construction without finishing, while others want each child to have a separate room and a kindergarten near the house.
In our study, we will tell you who buys apartments and for what reasons, as well as what factors influence the choice.
The most frequent buyers of housing are families with children
The presence of a family or the intention to start one plays an important role in the decision to buy an apartment. Couples in relationships or marriages make up 84% of all apartment buyers. At the same time, most have one or two children.
Apartments are most often bought to improve living conditions or move out of rented housing
The most common reason for buying an apartment, which respondents named, is the desire to improve living conditions. In addition, people buy their own home to move out of rented housing. Parents buy an apartment to give their children the opportunity to live separately, and children – to move out themselves or, conversely, move their parents closer. Real estate is also a popular investment option – to buy to rent out or sell when the price goes up.
Two-room apartments are the most common
We asked our respondents what kind of apartment they bought in the last two years. 44% said they bought a home with finishing and 27% – without finishing. Finishing with full furniture is chosen the least often.
