Is it possible to warmly insulate wooden windows

Wooden windows are still relevant, despite the era of plastic windows, first of all, because they are made of environmentally friendly material. But still there is one non-significant drawback-thermal conductivity. There are many ways to warm. Windows of windows made of wood can be performed without attracting specialists, but do everything yourself. What method of insulation to choose depends on your needs and financial capabilities. Below are several of them, the simplest and most popular.

The simplest and most significant cost method is insulation using paper. Paper strips are twisted and placed in the cracks between the frames, for the density are compacted. After that, strips of paper are glued along the top of the cracks. The only problem of this method is to dismantle. When peeling out of the strips, paint also departs with them, in this regard, the windows require subsequent painting to give aesthetic appearance. This causes inconvenience, since this procedure, insulation-compound-decoration, will have to be performed every year.

You can also use cotton, foam, fabric as stuffing slots. But instead of strips of paper, fabric strips are glued, previously moistened in soapy water. With this method of insulation, the problem with the annual coloring of the windows disappears, but the procedure for pasting and tearing remains.

The most reliable method of insulation of wooden windows, using insulation, which are inserted into the window sash around the perimeter. In order to install the insulation more reliable, it is recommended to remove the wings from the frame loops. Cut the groove (groove) around the perimeter to install the insulation. The cracks between the glasses and the sashes fill with silicone sealant. In this method, protection against dust penetration into the room is also ensured. It remains only to hang the wings on the frame. There are heater made of different materials: polyethylene foam, polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane, rubber. The most effective are rubber heaters. They are more durable, racks with mechanical exposure, provide thermal insulation. This determines its great price compared to other heaters.

You should prepare in advance and determine the method of warming windows from wood to enjoy comfort and comfort in the house during the winter period.
