Politur (it is also called shellac politicalist) is a “traditional” rapidly dry finishing coating that is diluted with denatured alcohol, it is softer than nitro -cellulum varnish and applied to several layers with about a half -hour interval.
Prepare the surface, then just like nitro -cellulose varnish, apply the polypon. Put a little with quick circular movements.
This is a persistent universal varnish, the surface of which can be brilliant, satin or ordinary, it is suitable for internal and external work.
It is usually desirable to put 2-3 layers. To improve absorption, dilute the first layer (up to 20%) white spirit. Polyurethane glue for drying takes about 2 hours (6 hours between layers), it gives a few minutes to apply a layer.
1 First you should “run” a new brush, rubbing it on a clean stone surface. This will make it flexible, and also save it from unsecured hairs, which can ruin the entire finish. Dip the brush in the varnish and remove half on the edge of the container.
2 Now quickly and evenly apply varnish to the surface. There is no need to work along the fibers first.
