Extremely in demand today is such a building material as brick. And the reason was his practicality and durability. For construction purposes, you can often observe the use of three of its types – silicate, ceramic and facing. Built from brick houses and buildings, in addition to a good living conditions, also provide a favorable appearance.
A brick is also divided into two types of full -bodied and hollow – depending on the presence of a void in it, respectively. Also hollow brick is often called hollower, slit or hole.
Such a brick is quite cheap, environmentally friendly and safe building materials, with a long life. Quantity, depth and shape of the slots can be the most. And the more there are, the warmer the brick. But at the same time, it is better if the holes are not very wide, since the masonry solution can score voids and the brick will significantly reduce its effectiveness.
The surface of hollow bricks can also be different: it can be smooth, corrugated or structured.
During the process of manufacturing holey bricks, the raw material mass is carefully prepared, and holes are made using special nozzles. These are perhaps the only differences in the technology of creating complete and hollow bricks.
The functional purpose of hollow bricks is that due to their presence, the costs of raw materials are reduced, which leads directly and reduce the price of the material itself. Also, thanks to the voids, the weight of the brick and its density are reduced, which accelerates its drying and burning. Hollow brick masonry reduces the load on the soil and the foundation, and so has less thermal conductivity, which allows you to better maintain heat in the house.
