Preparatory processes include: checking the condition of structures, large-scale assembly, temporary (installation) reinforcement of structures, preparation for installation and arrangement, delivery of structures as an installation unit directly to the installation site.
Additionally included are processes for equipping structures with devices for their temporary fastening and safe execution of Work, applying installation marks to the elements to be installed, hints of scaffolding and ladders, if this is required to be done before lifting the structures.
Auxiliary processes include preparation of supporting surfaces of foundations, alignment of structures, if it is performed after their installation, installation of scaffolding, transition platforms, ladders and fences performed during the installation of structures.
The main or installation processes – installation of structures in the design position, i.e. the installation itself. The composition of installation processes include:
- preparation of installation sites for prefabricated structures;
- slinging and lifting with the necessary movement in space, orientation and installation with temporary fastening;
- unslinging;
- final alignment and fastening;
- removal of temporary fasteners;
- sealing of joints and seams.
Depending on the type of structures, installation equipment, joints and stability conditions, alignment can be carried out during installation, when the structure is held by an installation crane, or after installation during temporary fastening.
The given structure of the process of installation of building structures is generalizing and in each specific case can be clarified in the direction of increasing or decreasing the individual operations and processes to be performed.
