A large margin of strength is given by a laminate of 32 and 33 classes, however, its cost is also higher. Any high -quality laminate has a second important indicator – water resistance, this may turn out to be the weakest place of coating. The fact is that the coating of the laminate has high water resistance, and there is no this property in places of compounds, therefore, if the liquid falls between the panels, then this can lead to moisturizing the base, its swelling, and, as a result, to deforming the coating. Among the range of laminates of all manufacturers there is a special waterproof laminate for rooms with high humidity. Manufacturers achieve this effect, impregnate the joints with water -repellent compositions or the use of the base of plastic. In addition, the issue of increasing water resistance can be solved using water -repellent glue, which fasten the joints of the planks.
When deciding which laminate to choose, you need to find out how much this type of laminate is “noisy”. The fact is that, depending on the basis, when walking, a sonorous noise is heard. If there is a gap between the concrete base and coating from the laminate, then the floor will knock on concrete. In order to avoid this, a special backing back is put under the laminate coating. Application as a substrate of foamed polyethylene (2 mm) is an ideal solution. Moreover, it is not recommended to increase the thickness, it will be crushed. Another point matters when you think which laminate to choose – adhesive or assembly laminate. These two concepts mean the method of connecting the plates among themselves. By laying the laminate, it can be glued together with special glue, or you can clamp in the lock with the latches with which each laminate board is equipped. The latch is a special profile on the ends of the laminate board. The laminate of the same class with latches (assembly laminate) has a greater cost, which is understandable. The installation of such a laminate is much simpler, and the operational qualities are higher. In addition, a prefabricated or lock laminate has one more advantage – it can be re -laid, since the lock can be “open” and, accordingly, “close”.
