It is possible and necessary to glue the wallpaper on the ceiling

Before you glue the wallpaper on the ceiling, you must definitely find out a little more about this process. During gluing the ceiling, the wallpaper apply similar techniques and techniques that can be used in the wallpaper of the walls. But it will be equally important to note the fact that, of course, there are some differences.

Before starting work, the surface should be correctly prepared. To do this, first of all, you need to remove the old coating from the ceiling, whether it is whitewashing, old wallpapers or paint. After which all the irregularities and cracks of the surface with the help of putty are wiped. Next, the surface of the ceiling is a primer. A special primer or the most common glue that is divorced by water can be used for priming (all proportions are indicated in the relevant instructions). After the warming surface is completely dry, the preparation can be considered completed and you can safely start pasting the ceiling with wallpaper.

To properly glue the ceiling with wallpaper, use exclusively specially designed adhesives for this. There is no need to save on a high -quality glow, because it is on it that the quality and durability of the result. In addition, it is worth noting the fact that some types of glue are intended only for some types of wallpaper, in most cases this is indicated directly on the packaging.

Before work, it is necessary to close all the windows in the room and turn off the air conditioner, t. e. get him from a draft. The wallpaper roll strip is cut with some margin (up to 5 cm), if the excess remains after drying, then it is cut off with a sharp knife. In addition, in the presence of a pattern, the stripes should be combined so as not to lose the integrity of the drawing.

The glue should be applied to the entire surface of the chopped strip, after which it folds in half, always inside with glue, for “swelling”. In most cases, this process does not take five minutes. Then the strip is applied to the ceiling and evenly, gradually lays down on its entire length. After that, the surface of the paintings is smoothed to remove the formed bubbles, waves and swelling, this is done using a stiff brush or a special roller.

If the wallpaper has the edges, then when glued overlapping, they are cut off on one side, and if you are in, then from both. If there is no cornice in the room, then when gluing the ceiling with wallpaper, it is necessary to stick them on the tops of the walls, t. e. Running them 20-35 cm. This distance will depend on the height of the wall. If wallpaper on the surface of the wall is glued to the ceiling, t. e. along the entire length, then the wallpaper of a white shade must necessarily block each corner between the ceiling and walls by about 10 cm. Strips of wallpaper on the surface of the ceiling must be placed parallel to the light falling from the window to make the joints with the least noticeable. However, if the room has two windows on opposite walls, then the strip should be placed along the entire ceiling length.

Still, before gluing wallpaper on the ceiling, you should first “practice” on the walls, because this process is more laborious and often not two, but three people will be required for such work.

A couple of years ago, when the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in Uralsk, the local authorities invited him to take part in the solemn open… bridge over the Urals. The head of state made sensory words and cut the red ribbon. But when the ceremony ended and the president left, the entrance to the bridge was closed. The fact is that every driver who would decide to update the shortest path from Central Asia to Russia could well have been on the other side, but at the bottom of the river. The object was not over. And the main difficulty was not so much in building a car transition through the Urals itself, but in the construction of multi -kilometer approaches to it through a constantly flooded floodplain.
