Apartment renovation: make the ceiling with your own hands

In old apartments, the ceiling usually spoils the entire interior. After all, be sure to close closer to the cent, reporting that the border of two floor plates passes here. Very often there is not just a crack, but a step up to several millimeters.

Where to start repairs

If only the cheapest repairs are available, then you can wash off the old whitewash, sparkle the entire surface of the ceiling, leaving the transition between the floor slabs. Putty should be carried out in at least two approaches. Of course, the transition will be noticeable, but not as before.

Having finished putty, you must definitely walk on the surface of velvet sandpaper. After that, you can paint the ceiling with water -based paint. The only drawback of this technology is the appearance of a hair crack along the border of the floor slabs after about six months.

You can not fight a tile crack, but stick wallpaper on the ceiling. In this case, the washing of the old whitewash is still a mandatory operation. Moreover, the cleaner the floor slabs will be, the better the wallpaper sticks.

It is better to cover the ceiling with wallpaper together. One person stands on the table and begins to glue the canvas from the window and along the room, and the second is more convenient to be on the floor and hold the canvas with a mop. It is not recommended to cut the cloths of wallpaper of the same length – the ceiling is never rectangular. The geometry of Lobachevsky prevails in old apartments. Therefore, each next canvas must be cut off individually.

How to do repairs

Only ceiling tiles can be glued into one face. Starting to the sticker of ceiling slabs, we must remember that the ceiling is far from a rectangle. It is best if not the entire surface of the ceiling is trimmed with tiles, but a rectangle that does not reach a few centimeters to walls. The perimeter of such a rectangle can be limited. The more the rectangular shape of the ceiling is broken, the more you need to leave places from the border to the walls. This technology will save you from the need to fit the tiles for configuration of the ceiling.

There is also a decoration option – suspended ceilings or stretch. They are good for everyone, but in old apartments they lead to a significant visual decrease in the height of the room. But the height is not large.

As a result, the story of the invitation of bridge builders from a neighboring state was repeated again and again, without a visible result. There is a rather funny moment in it. A couple of years ago, when the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in Uralsk, the local authorities invited him to take part in the solemn open… bridge over the Urals. The head of state made sensory words and cut the red ribbon. But when the ceremony ended and the president left, the entrance to the bridge was closed. The fact is that every driver who would decide to update the shortest path from Central Asia to Russia could well have been on the other side, but at the bottom of the river. The object was not over. And the main difficulty was not so much in building a car transition through the Urals itself, but in the construction of multi -kilometer approaches to it through a constantly flooded floodplain. And work here still start and finish. And now in the republic they decided to return to the long -suffering object again. The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the competition for state procurement of works and services for the reconstruction of the bridge over the Ural River. The required delivery time within 2000. Potential suppliers who meet the qualification requirements stipulated in Article 10 of the Law of Kazakhstan “On public procurement” are allowed to the competition.
